🥵 Scorching heat on Saturday, cooling and strong wind from Sunday afternoon.
Latest forecasts already show that a cold front approaches the region on Sunday afternoon. Significant rain or thunderstorm is not likely, however in the second half of Sunday afternoon strong gusts may blow the trees. Expected meteorological circumstances in a nutshell:
Saturday morning:
▪️moderate wind, calm weather, minimum temperatures between 18-21 degrees (and cooler in valleys)
Saturday daytime and evening:
▪️ strengthening southerly wind with up to 40-50 km/h gusts, tends to ease in the evening hours
▪️rapid warming, 29-32 degrees in early afternoon
▪️plenty of sunshine with some cumulus clouds that can provide shadowy periods, but not rain
Sunday night / morning:
▪️some wind but nothing special, minimum temperatures between 17-20 degrees (again, valleys will be the coolest)
▪️you can spot some lightnings from the higher parts when looking to the north, but it is not a danger factor
Sunday forenoon:
▪️southwesterly breeze and warming, 27-30 degrees at 3 pm. (feel-like temperature can be higher)
▪️almost clear sky, sunny
Sunday afternoon:
▪️according to the latest forecasts, the wind turns swiftly to northwesterly, with gusts exceeding 70 km/h!
▪️increasing cloudiness, but still a low chance for showers
▪️gradual cooling, temperatures drop below 20 degrees till late afternoon
Sunday evening:
▪️no significant change, a bit stronger winds in the mountains, a bit weaker in the valleys
All in all: on Saturday and Sunday forenoon the heat can cause unpleasant moments, while on Sunday afternoon the strong wind can be a problem source.
