Race director’s welcome
Hey Trail Runners,
On behalf of myself and the organizing team, I’d like to welcome you to Salomon Ultra-Trail Hungary — the biggest trail running celebration in Hungary. In 2025, the town of Szentendre hosts Ultra-Trail Hungary for the 9th time, bringing toget- her runners from near and far to take on one of five challenging distances, and to celebrate this tough but beautiful sport.
This is the kind of race where elites and amateurs, short-distance runners and ultra- runners all feel part of the same tribe. Here, everyone is Homo Trailrunnicus. Each course comes with its own challenges — and of course, we’re counting on the weather to spice things up. Around here, it’s a bit of a tradition: local trail runners say rain tends to show up when I do my “magic,” and the Pilis mountains know how to turn it into a race you’ll never forget. That medal waiting for you in Szentendre? You’ll have to earn it.
Behind the scenes, more than 300 volunteers — the Crew — are making this race happen. Please show them your gratitude. They’re out there in all conditions to support you. They’ll keep you fueled, cheer you on, track your time, and help lift you up when things get tough.
